This Exhibition showcases the performances of Philadelphia’s interactive improvisational theatre troupe the “Dumpster’ Players”, as seen through the lens of five area photographers: Gregory Carafelli, Jason Colflesh, John Donges, Tom Sheeder Jr, Al Wachlin Jr.
With photographs of characters and from performances, videos of shows, and actual costumes on display, this exhibition promises to be an immersive experience into the irreverent, outrageous, gender bending, edgy comedy of the Dumpsta’ Players.
ABOUT THE DUMPSTA PLAYERS
The Dumpsta Players are a themed interactive theatre experience that parodies society’s joys and ills in an irreverent and over-the-top style. Dumpsta was chosen as a name because the company recycles costumes, actors, characters, and comic bits month after month. Dumpsta also brings to mind the trashy nature of our performing –
drag queens, genderf-ck, and all walks of life come together and express joy, rage and general chaos through live mic and lipsynched sketches! Watch our previous shows each week on Comcast 66 and Verizon
